Google’s Digital News Innovation Fund awarded us two grants to further Trint’s innovation in audio/video content management. Trint is reshaping voice-driven value creation by integrating into existing enterprise workflows in big verticals like media, research and video production. The company’s vision is shaped by its CEO and Founder Jeff Kofman, an Emmy-winning foreign correspondent and war correspondent who estimates he transcribed thousands of hours of interviews, news conferences and speeches during his 30+ year broadcast career.

Customers include: The Associated Press, The New York Times, ESPN, Vice News, The Washington Post, Thomson Reuters, Fox Sports, Der Spiegel, Deutsche Welle, Yale University, Nike and AirBnB.

Where do you fit in?

You are a master craftsperson in the sales discipline with deep experience in the US media industry. This includes mastery in the art and science of new business creation and the sales cycle to achieve this. You can speak fluently to the media workflow, pain points and evangelise across senior stakeholders at some of the biggest media companies in the world. Indeed, you believe in the value of new technology in newsrooms and are passionate about improving the daily lives of folks.

The Role

This is first and foremost a new business creation role in the US media sector. We are looking for someone who can prospect new opportunities, build a pipeline and close deals. We are also seeking a person with credibility, expertise and personability to help build the Trint brand and create a beautiful buying experience.

Responsibilities include the following

  • Leverage deep understanding of the media workflow and pain points to fluidly map to the Trint proposition
  • Evangelise Trint, educate buyers and accelerate creation of net new budgets
  • Source new opportunities with strong orientation to outbound lead generation and best practice discovery calls
  • Build strong relationships with C-level executives, directors, and VPs with an ability to create champions
  • Close new business with an expert ability to manage the sales cycle and greater pipeline to achieve quota
  • Unafraid to work with Salesforce tracking all potential and existing client interactions
  • Amplify new opportunities paired with a US based business development representative to qualify new business
  • Seek out industry events to attend to drive Trint’s brand visibility and network

Your required skills are

  • Minimum of 3+ years of successful enterprise direct selling
  • Experience selling into accounts with a 6-9 month sales cycle and ACV of $50K-250K+
  • An understanding of the media business and content creation workflow of our customers
  • Awesome presentation skills, both oral and written
  • Available and willing to travel 30%+ of the time
  • The mindset to strive and succeed in a dynamic start-up environment
  • Ability to work independently Helpful skills that will make you shine even brighter:
  • Experience working in or selling directly to newsrooms
