Can Trint transcribe audio to text in real time?
With the Trint mobile transcription app, you can transcribe audio in real time in more than 50 languages. Record and transcribe using your phone, then share a live feed with colleagues in another location to verify, edit and shape your content, even while the event is still happening. It’s ideal for covering press conferences and interviewing on the go.
Your team can access your audio recordings and transcripts in both the live app and web app.
How long does it take Trint to transcribe video or audio to text?
Trint can transcribe audio and video files in a fraction of the time it would take to do the work manually. Simply upload your recording or video, choose your language and click transcribe. Trint will create a transcription with up to 99% accuracy in just a few minutes.
How secure is Trint’s audio and video transcription software?
At Trint, we understand how important data security is for modern organizations. That’s why our video and audio transcription software is ISO 27001 certified with servers in the US and EU for your peace of mind. We use industry best-practice encryption methods to keep your data safe, including HTTPS (TLS 1.2+) encryption to secure data between your browser and our servers. Once your data is under our protection, it’s securely encrypted using the industry standard AES-256 algorithm.

Can Trint create and edit video captions?
Yes. Use Trint's Subtitle generator to quickly add captions to any video or audio file and export as an SRT, VTT, STL or TXT file.
Can Trint transcribe video and audio in multiple languages?
Trint’s live transcription app can detect more than 50 languages and switch between different languages while transcribing live. The Trint web app can recognize and transcribe more than 50 languages, but can only produce transcripts in a single language.

Can I invite external collaborators to edit my Trints?
You can invite collaborators to view and edit your transcripts, even if they don’t have a Trint subscription.
Can I search and edit Trint transcripts?
Yes. Trint creates time-coded transcripts that make it quick and painless to search for key moments and review and verify quotes. You can then use our editorial tools to get everything perfect and highlight quotes to share with colleagues.
What file formats can Trint accept?
Trint is compatible with MP3, M4A, MP4, AAC and WAV audio file formats. Videos can be uploaded as MP4, WMA, MOV and AVI files. Trint does not accept links to video files, including YouTube links.
Audio and video files should be under three hours in duration and/or 3GB in size. If you need to transcribe a file that is larger than this, then you can break it up into smaller files before uploading.
Trint also offers nine export file types, so you can download and publish your finished content in your preferred file format, including SRTs for captioning videos. Read our guide to export formats to see the full list of file types.
