Trint wins Gannett Foundation category at Online Journalism Awards 2018

We’re excited to announce that Trint has won the Gannett Foundation Award for Technical Innovation in the Service of Digital Journalism, including a $5,000 prize. The award honors a company that has built a digital tool or platform, significantly enhancing the practice of online journalism. Trint’s automated transcription platform took first place, in which audio and video files are transcribed using automated speech recognition.

Winners were announced at the Online Journalism Awards Banquet, which closed the Online News Association Conference, on September 15th in Austin, Texas.
